The primary goal of WV Health Right is provide a medical home to uninsured and Medicaid/Medicare insured adults. Volunteer physicians from virtually every specialty area as well as nurse practitioners, nurses, and other medical volunteers enable the clinic’s medical teams to provide medical care and treatment to the ever growing numbers of patients seeking treatment.
WV Health Right provides a caring patient centered system of care. Each patient is assigned to a medical team that monitors and tracks all aspects of the patients’ health needs. Patients with chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular, etc.) have continuity of medical supervision and medications while patients with acute illness receive care on a non-emergency basis both on-site and at volunteer specialists offices.
