West Virginia Health Right Celebrates Grand Opening of Expanded East End Clinic for Comprehensive Services

West Virginia Health Right unveiled its expanded East End Clinic, which is a major step in improving healthcare access for underserved people in and around Charleston.

Since 2014, West Virginia Health Right has experienced rapid growth.

Clinic services have expanded to include an extensive behavioral health program that offers substance use disorder treatment, psychiatric services, and individual and group counseling.

Health Education programs have expanded to include a comprehensive teaching kitchen, smoking cessation and weight loss programs, and cardiovascular and diabetic education and training.

Staff has increased from 32 full-time employees to 70 full and part-time employees.

Volunteers have increased from 100 to more than 600 medical professionals.

The number of patients served has increased from 15,000 to more than 44,400.

We anticipate caring for more patients in the next few years as the need continues to grow.

The expanded clinic will help us serve more people in our community.

The three-story addition to our East End Clinic houses additional space for behavioral health services, substance use disorder treatment, expanded on-site pharmacy, and improved dental and vision clinics.

The expansion includes additional office space for staff and volunteers.
