Ten-year-old Harper took the blue ribbon at her Regional Social Studies Fair—her project? A powerful message about the impact of WV Health Right!
Inspired by her own family’s experience, this incredible fourth grader highlighted how access to healthcare saved her dad’s life with an early cancer diagnosis. She emphasized how WV Health Right helps keep people working without forcing them to choose between their health and financial stability.
Her project shows how healthcare access strengthens West Virginia’s economy and communities. We couldn’t be more proud of her dedication and insight, and we wish her well at the state competition on April 11th. Let’s give Harper a big round of applause for using her voice to make a difference!
This month we have the opportunity to celebrate several dedicated professionals who make a difference at WV Health Right.

Dental Assistants Recognition Week was March 2–8, and Dentist Day was March 5th. Thank you to our dental assistants for providing life-changing oral care: Join us in celebrating them here!

We also celebrated Linda St. Clair on Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day (March 12th)—she is also a Certified Diabetes Educator. Thank you, Linda, for pointing our community toward healthy choices through nutrition education and cooking classes.
And last but certainly not least—in light of International Women’s Month, we want to honor the women providers, staff, volunteers, and patients who inspire us in our work daily.
