Volunteer for #WeCareWV Day!

Formerly known as RAM, this year’s #WeCareWV Day will be the first ever held at our newly expanded East End Clinic, a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the community’s growing healthcare needs. This event will bring the community together in a day of caring, compassion and support with a special focus on people who thought essential healthcare services were out of reach. #WeCareWV Day reflects West Virginia Health Right’s mission to ensure that no West Virginian goes without the healthcare they deserve, and we need your help! Whether you’re a medical professional or a friendly face willing to help direct folks for the day, sign up for a volunteer shift at the link below.

A Dose of Hope Recovery Group

This free, bi-weekly gathering is an opportunity to give and receive support while fostering courage, hope, and healing. Led by peers and facilitated by licensed counselor Krista Neophytou, MA, LPC, A Dose of Hope Recovery Group is open to all. Sobriety is not a requirement for participation.

The Weekenders Recovery Group

Formerly the We Are Responsible Recovery Group, The Weekenders Recovery Group is a free, weekly gathering that offers a safe space to give and receive support—no matter where you are in your personal journey. Sobriety is not a requirement for participation. Led by Janis Moss, PRSS—someone with long-term recovery experience—this meeting is open to all.

Staff Spotlight: Ms. Ethel

Congratulations to Ms. Ethel on a well-earned retirement after 22 years working with WV Health Right. You will be missed, but your impact on our patients’ lives will be forever!

Celebrating Our CEO

Our CEO, Dr. Angie Settle, delivered the keynote presentations for two events recently! On July 30th, she presented at WV Statewide WIC, and on August 7th she presented on Maternal Health and the Social Determinants of Health at the Texas A&M University & the USDA’s Southern WV Maternal Health Forum in Beckley. It was a great opportunity for WV Health Right to meet with other community leaders and develop strategies to improve maternal health outcomes in our region!

We need your help to support #WeCareWV Day—a day of FREE medical, dental and vision care for those who need it most! Mark your calendar and spread the word about this event! You can also help by setting up a recurring donation or making a one-time gift at the link below today.
