West Virginia Health Right Awarded $220,000 Grant from Direct Relief
We are thrilled to share the news that we’ve been awarded a generous grant from Direct Relief, a leading nonprofit dedicated to improving health and well-being by supporting community-focused healthcare initiatives. This will have an immense impact as we continue to provide care to our community.
“We are incredibly grateful to Direct Relief for this investment in our work,” said Dr. Angie Settle, CEO. “This grant will allow us to reach more people facing significant healthcare challenges. By expanding programs that remove barriers to care, we can truly make a difference!”
Thank you Direct Relief!

Prepped to Serve Appalachia
The second cohort of our Prepped to Serve Appalachia program with Chef Paul Smith has just started on-the-job training! We spoke with participant Staven Walker to learn a little bit more about how the program has impacted his life and recovery journey:
“After a month or so into the program, I’ve learned a lot already…I think that’s the key to unlocking your true potential.”
— Staven Walker, Cohort 2 participant
Applications for Cohort 3 are open now, with classes starting on April 1.
